Police were called to woodland after a member of the public reported seeing the body of a man lying on the ground.

But when officers arrived in Ware Street in Bearsted at 11.50am, there was no trace of him.

Officers remained at the scene, near the golf club, at 3pm and enquiries are ongoing to locate the man.
