Pair seriously hurt after crash closes A228 Maidstone Road at Paddock Wood

Two men have been seriously injured in a crash near Paddock Wood this morning.
The three-vehicle smash happened on the A228 Maidstone Road - between the Hop Farm roundabout at Beltring and the Badsell Road roundabout near Five Oak Green - at 10.25am.
Hydraulic rescue equipment was used by firefighters to free one man who was trapped.
He was flown to King's College Hospital in London by the air ambulance nd another man was taken to the Tunbridge Wells Hospital at Pembury. They both had serious injuries.
Police and ambulance crews along with firefighters and highways staff were at the scene until 2.20pm this afternoon, with road closures in place at both ends.
Initially, a member of the public stopped with his 4x4 vehicle and put up a temporary closure.
There were long tailbacks, including into neighbouring Paddock Wood.
