Shop worker threatened with wine bottle by man outside Tesco Express in Week Street, Maidstone

A man threatened to assault a shop worker with a wine bottle after being challenged over non-payment.
The incident happened at Tesco Express in Week Street, Maidstone, when a man took three bottles of wine to the self-service checkout and allegedly made no attempt to pay for two of them.
As he went to leave a member of staff challenged him outside the store, at which point it he is said to have assaulted the shop worker and threatened to hit him with the bottle of booze.
The alleged assailant then ran from the scene of the altercation, which took place at around 9.30pm on Friday, June 5.
Officers investigating the alleged assault say they would like to identify the person pictured in this CCTV image, who they believe can assist with their enquiries.
