The Kent County Show gets under way this week and is celebrating its 100th anniversary.
Starting on Friday, the county’s premiere agriculture and livestock event runs at the Kent Showground at Detling, off the A249, until Sunday.
With everything from animals to tractors, showjumping, to food and flowers, and vintage vehicles, the Kent County Show has been entertaining thousands each year since 1923.
The show is open from 8am to 6pm each day with the last entry at 5pm.
Tickets are £22 for adults and over 14s in advance, and £1 for under 14s. On the day, they are £24 and £2 respectively.
Parking is free, but an easier way to travel could be by bus.
Nu Venture is laying on a special show service, the X33, which will leave from opposite Maidstone East railway station each day at 9.15am, 10.30am and 11.45am, and also picking up from King Street in Maidstone at 9.20am, 10.35am and 11.50am.
The return service departs from the showground at 3pm, 4.30pm and 6.15pm.
The fare is £5 for adults, each way. Children under 14 free.
Show organisers have stressed that there will be no road closures on the A249, where long-term roadworks have been taking place at the Stockbury Roundabout.
A spokesman said: “The Kent Show wants to have the opportunity to make clear to the public that the A249 will have no traffic closures over the weekend of the Show as agreed with Kent Highways.”
