Two fire crews were called to a fire in the back garden of a house in Boughton Monchelsea in the early hours of this morning.
The small blaze started after some sawdust against the house caught light when a cigarette was discarded, at around 1.30am.
A woman in her 20s was treated for smoke inhalation at the scene, but did not need hospital treatment.
Crews, both from Maidstone fire station, left the property at just before 2am.
