In the early hours of Saturday morning, Kent Police was called after three men were seen acting suspiciously around cars in Clifford Way.

They were described as being Asian in appearance and were wearing green tracksuits.

Overnight between 21 September and 22 September, a handbag was stolen from a car parked in Union Street and a car charger and cash were stolen from an unattended car in Church Street.

On 23 September, the owner of a car parked in Tonbridge reported the theft of a satnav between 2.45am and 3.30am.

District commander, Ch Insp Ray Quiller, has urged people to make sure they lock all doors and close windows whenever you leave their cars.

He added: "Never leave anything valuable on display and if possible remove it from the car overnight.

"If feasible, park in a garage, secure car park or well-lit area."

Further advice includes wiping satnav suction marks from your windscreen or dashboard.

Anyone with information which may assist the investigation is asked to call 01622 604100 quoting reference 46/182995/19.

Alternatively, contact the independent charity Crimestoppers in Kent anonymously on 0800 555 111.
