Suspect charged after woman stabbed in Station Road, Maidstone

A woman has been charged after police officers found another woman with multiple stab wounds near a railway station.
Officers were patrolling Station Road in Maidstone at around 5.30pm on Friday when they made the discovery and a large cordon was put in place near Brenchley Gardens and the railway station.
The victim, who is in her 30s, was taken to hospital but has since been discharged.
Essex woman Rebecca Griffin, 40, was arrested close to the scene and later charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
Griffin, of Snowdrop Close, Chelmsford, appeared at Maidstone Magistrates’ Court on Monday and was remanded in custody.
She will next appear at Maidstone Crown Court on November 13.
