Maidstone man charged after women approached and harassed in the street

A suspect has been charged after multiple women were approached by a man and offered money for sex.
Jay Davy has been remanded in custody in connection with the incidents, which happened in Maidstone.
In November and December, multiple victims were allegedly targeted by a man who engaged them in unwanted conversation and harassed them.
Some of the victims are reported to have been with children at the time.
The 24-year-old, of Tonbridge Road, Maidstone, was arrested on Tuesday (December 19) and taken into custody.
Yesterday, he appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court charged with 12 public order offences, involving the use of threatening, abusive, or insulting words or behaviour to cause harassment, alarm or distress.
He is currently remanded in custody until a hearing at Maidstone Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, December 27.
