The other suspect appears to light another object before throwing it into the vehicle, causing it to burst into flames on the driveway.
The blaze was spotted at around 1.45am by officers patrolling the area.
The flames also damaged a Range Rover parked nearby.
Investigating officer PC Fay Coleman said: "This was an incredibly dangerous thing to do and I would appeal to anyone with any information about who is responsible to get in touch.
"The CCTV footage shows a person standing very close to the vehicle when it bursts into flames, so it is possible he or she may have suffered burns.
"Perhaps someone you know came home that night with injuries they couldn’t account for. If you have any information at all, please do let us know."
Anyone with information is asked to call PC Coleman on 07807 340154 quoting crime reference YY/022465/14.
Alternatively call Kent Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
