Suspected burglars appear in court after ornaments and jewellery taken from Milton Street property in Maidstone

Two suspected burglars have appeared in court after police were alerted to "suspicious noises" inside a property.

On Tuesday, March 1, officers from Maidstone's Community Policing Team went to an address in Milton Street where two men were arrested outside the property.

Officers seized a quantity of ornaments, jewellery and other items.

Rafal Drzewiecki and Krzystof Kancinski, both of no fixed address, were later charged with burglary.

Drzewiecki, 37, and Kancinski, 47, were both remanded in custody to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court earlier today.
