Suspected migrants found in the back of a lorry on A249 Detling Hill last night to be transferred to the Home Office

Four suspected migrants have been found in the back of a lorry.
Kent Police were called at 5.32pm yesterday to reports of the migrants in a lorry which had stopped on Detling Hill, Maidstone.
The lorry was pulled over in the bay on the northbound carriageway of the A249.
Police attended and four people were taken into custody, to be transferred to immigration officials for the Home Office.
A Home Office spokesman said: "Immigration officers were contacted by Kent Police on Friday, September 16, after police officers attended an incident on the A249.
"Three Iraqi nationals were passed to immigration officers to be interviewed.
"A minor from Iran was also encountered at the scene and has been released into the care of Kent County Council."
