Two fire engines attended a blaze in a takeaway, where they put out the flames within an hour.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet and special fan to bring the situation on The Parade in Dynes Road, Kemsing, under control.
Having been called out at 12.06pm, they had extinguished the fire before 1pm.
The on-site service personnel spent 30 minutes cutting away and damping down the scene.
There are no reports of any casualties, and while the cause of the fire isn't known at this stage it is not though to be suspicious.
