A pair of teenagers are hosting a red carpet charity ball.
The event, at the Weald of Kent Golf Club in Maidstone Road, Headcorn, is being organised by Tom Mackelden and pal Saffron Davis, both 19 and from Staplehurst.
Mr Mackelden will be raising money for Cancer Research UK in memory of his mum Tania, who lost her fight to the disease in February, while Miss Davis’s chosen charity is The National Ankylosing Spondylitis Society which helps people suffering from a painful spinal condition.
The ball starts at 6pm on Saturday, August 5, with champagne on arrival, a three-course meal, raffle and DJ. Tickets are £37.
