A man and woman facing charges of causing unnecessary suffering or injury to a one-month-old baby have both appeared in court.
Danni Knowler, 19, and 20-year-old James Lomas appeared in the dock at Maidstone Crown Court today.
The charges relate to newborn baby Freddie Lomas, who died in 2016.
Knowler, of London Road, Maidstone and Lomas, of Howick Close in Aylesford, have denied the charges.
Judge Philip St John-Stevens bailed the pair to return to crown court for a hearing on June 11, with a trial earmarked to go ahead in October.
No fixed date for their trial has been set.
