Teenager 'stable' after collision with taxi

AN 18-YEAR-old pedestrian underwent an emergency operation after he was in collision with a taxi in Maidstone town centre.
The accident happened in Bishops Way, on the bridge gyratory, near the junction with High Street and Broadway, early on Saturday morning.
The teenager, from Bearsted, was taken to Maidstone Hospital. Police say he is an a stable condition in hospital.
