Police continue to tackle the growing number of Land Rovers which are being targeted by thieves.

Officers have issued a warning to owners of the 4x4 models after another vehicle was stolen from Goudhurst.

A 35-year-old farmer discovered his green Land Rover Discovery was missing on the morning of Wednesday, April 17.

The car, which is 10 years old, is estimated to be worth £23,000.

The latest theft comes after more than 10 similar vehicles were stolen at the end of last year.

Ins Sonia Lassnig, ofTunbridge Wells district police, said: “There are many reasons why someone might steal a Land Rover – we believe they could be used in ram-raids or sold for parts.

"In the incident at Goudhurst, the vehicle was locked but we have provided the victim with a letter outlining key crime prevention tips.”

Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call 101, quoting crime number YY/7329/13.
