The 200-acre showground boasted a packed programme for pups of all shapes and sizes.

In the main arena there was a security dog demo, an obedience display by some “good boys” and a dog scent squad putting their sniffers to the test.

Elsewhere there were stunt shows, Husky parades and a grooming grandslam.

Throughout the rest of the site were artisan food trucks and shopping stalls featuring hand-crafted merchandise.

Camping areas were also scattered throughout the grounds for those arriving with tents, caravans and campervans.

The canine extravaganza, organised by MDS Shows, is in its 18th year and attracts more than 24,000 visitors and 15,000 dogs.

It is set to return to Detling next year on the weekend of September 20.
