Three acres of grass caught fire at a popular park this afternoon.
Grass and undergrowth was alight at Mote Park in Maidstone just after midday.
It comes as thousands flocked to the park for the hottest day on record and to see the official unveiling of the park's new Adventure Zone.
Four fire engines were sent out to the scene, where no casualties were reported. The cause is not yet known.
Kent Fire and Rescue Service is warning about the dangers of grass fire during hot weather.
A spokeswoman said: "Following the incident, firefighters are urging anyone who spots a grass fire to report it as soon as possible, providing as much detail on the location so it can be dealt with before it spreads.
"During periods of hot and dry weather, incidents on grassland have the potential to become much bigger wildfires.
"To help reduce the risk of a grass fire, ensure you fully extinguish all smoking materials before safely disposing of them and only ever have barbecues in authorised areas.
"You should also avoid having campfires in the countryside and take any litter or rubbish with you, as reflective cans and glass can easily start a grass fire."
The fire was out by 2pm.
