Arrests have been made during a drug bust at a site off the A249.
Officers have taken three men into custody after a huge police presence was seen on the Maidstone bound carriageway between the Stockbury Flyover and Detling Hill this morning.
Drivers faced delays during the Met Police led operation with one motorist claiming they had counted 34 vehicles.
During the bust, which is linked to an ongoing investigation into drug supply, officers seized imitation firearms, a stolen van and cash, Class A drugs and a Taser.
A 25-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of class A drugs with intent to supply and theft of a motor vehicle while a 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm (a Taser) and offensive weapons.
Meanwhile, a 30-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of Class A drugs and money laundering.
All three remain in custody.
