A small fire broke out in the kitchen of a Tonbridge home yesterday afternoon, after cooking was left unattended.
Firefighters were called to Bishops Oak Rise at 4.55pm and quickly put out the blaze within 10 minutes.
It started in the grill, and the resident was alerted thanks to a working smoke alarm.
The fire damaged 20 per cent of the kitchen.
Crews gave safety advice to the resident and to neighbouring properties.
