Crowds queued today to get a glimpse of The Only Way Is Essex celebrity Megan McKenna.

The 25-year-old lion-maned beauty from Barking slipped over to Kent to sign copies of her new 2018 calendar at The Mall shopping centre in Maidstone.

The store’s marketing manager Suzie Brindle said: “It went very well. We had a queue stretching right round the side of the Calendar Club unit to meet her and get their calendars and Christmas gifts signed.

“The first girls in the queue were about 13 and terribly excited. There were also a couple ‘super fans’ who follow her around.

“Megan was lovely and took time to speak to every single person.”

Among the first to greet Megan were sisters Emily and Robyn Lockwood-Farrant from Maidstone.

Brunette Megan first found fame as part of the singing duo Harmony on Britain's Got Talent but then joined the MTV show Ex On The Beach.

She was in Celebrity Big Brother last year but is probably best known for appearing in TOWIE although she quit the show recently to concentrate on her career as a country singer.

Fan Stephanie Phillips said on Twitter today: “Loved meeting the gorgeous and lovely Megan McKenna today!!”

She added: “She was soo lovely and down to earth.”

The calendars were on sale for £15. After the one-hour signing session Megan went to The Glades, Bromley for a second session.

On Wednesday the leggy singer wowed a sell-out crowd when she took to the stage at London’s Scala Club in a heavily-chained mini-dress to perform a set of songs including Dolly Parton’s Jolene and her debut single High Heeled Shoes which hit the number one spot on the iTunes music chart.

She recently split from her former TOWIE co-star Pete Wicks who, by coincidence, visited Maidstone’s The Mall on October 28.
