Woman arrested in murder investigation after man dies in Lower Boxley Road, Maidstone

A woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man suffered fatal injuries.
Officers were called to Lower Boxley Road in Maidstone at 6pm and the victim given medical treatment, but he was pronounced dead at the scene a short while after.
His next of kin are aware.
A woman known to the man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder and an investigation into the circumstances is ongoing.
The road was shut outside the Hare and Hounds pub, between the roundabout at Staceys Street and the J&S Accessories shop.
A number of officers were at the scene, and were diverting traffic as well as carrying out inquiries.
Multiple forensics cars and police vehicles remained at the scene overnight.
An employee at the nearby Miller and Carter steakhouse said: "Customers were coming into the restaurant all day talking about [the police presence].
“My boyfriend called me to check up on me.”
Officers are still at the scene carrying out enquiries, and the pub remains cordoned off.
