Southeastern trains between Barming and Bearsted suspended due to trespasser near Maidstone East

Train services around the County Town were disrupted for more than three hours after a trespasser was discovered on the tracks near Maidstone East railway station.
The line was closed between Barming and Bearsted shortly after 5.45pm, with replacement buses running between affected stations.
The disruption was expected to last until 7.45pm, but services were not back up and running until around 9.15pm.
A Southeastern spokesman said: "A trespasser has been reported on the line in the Maidstone East area. The electric current has been switched off as a result.
"Response staff and emergency services are en route."
Those delayed by the incident may be entitled to claim compensation.
