"We’re working with the British Transport Police to get them removed asap."
While British Transport Police added: "We have officers at scene on the railway tracks at Maidstone east conducting a search of the area, we have asked for the assistance of the National Police Air Service at this time."
One commuter from London, who catches a train from London Victoria, fumed: "I can't believe my train has been cancelled."
