Three men threatened a woman as they tried to force their way into her home.
The trio came to the door of the property in Lancashire Road on the Shepway estate in Maidstone and tried to enter the house.
It is alleged one of the men was holding a weapon during the incident.
The woman whose home was targeted attempted to shut the door on the would-be intruders, before a relative who was visiting came to her aid and the three men ran off.
Investigating officer PC Alex Peacock said: "We are issuing CCTV images of three men who may be able to assist us with our enquiries.
"While the image is blurred we are hoping somebody who recognises them will contact us."
A man in his 20s from Maidstone was arrested in connection with the incident, which occurred at around 2.45pm on Sunday, June 7. He was later bailed to return to the police station on July 2.
