12:00, 16 June 2015

People from all walks of life will be stepping out to help beat cancer at Leeds Castle on Saturday.

Among the walkers in the Breast Cancer Care Pink Ribbonwalk will be the charity’s ambassador, EastEnders’ star Denise Van Outen, who lives in the county and will be taking part in her third Ribbonwalk.

Hundreds of people, of all ages, are expected to take part.

Organisers have added a shorter, five-mile route for families with children over eight and the age limit for the 10 and 20-mile routes has been lowered to 14.

Last year the event – now in its third year – raised some £190,000.

Participants must raise £100 in sponsorship to help fund Breast Cancer Care’s specialist services which help people live with, through and beyond breast cancer. It costs £30 to register and £15 for under-18s. There is no minimum sponsorship for under-18s.
