Police have arrested two people on suspicion of attempted burglary and possession of a bladed article.
Patrols were called to Cambridge Crescent just before 1am this morning after it was reported somebody was acting suspiciously near a house.
A man aged 37 years and woman aged 36 years, both from Maidstone, were later arrested nearby.
They remain in police custody while the investigation is on-going.
Earlier this week Benjamin Cooke, 31, of no fixed address was charged with breaking into a house in the same street and taking a handbag.
He was bailed to appear at Maidstone Magistrates' Court on November 17.
