A crash between cars has caused disruption on one of the main roads in Maidstone.

Traffic along the A274 Sutton Road was slowing-moving because of an obstruction on the eastbound carriageway.

There was an earlier crash involving two cars, between Gore Court Road and Bircholt Road, and the police are still waiting for the vehicles to be recovered.

Kent Highways was also due to deal with a diesel spillage, but traffic is now moving around the scene.

No injuries have been reported.

The accident happened at 8.50am this morning.

The road has been cleared and traffic has cleared.
