Two suspected shoplifters have been charged after hundreds of pounds worth of goods were reported stolen from an M&S store.
Officers detained a man and woman on yesterday (June 6) at 4.30pm at the Eclipse Park shopping estate in Maidstone after they spotted a suspicious BMW left unattended.
The suspects were stopped when they left the nearby Marks and Spencer store and enquiries by police led to the recovery of several items allegedly stolen from the shop.
The estimate value of all the goods was around £350.
Ryan Diamond-Smith, 32, of Moorside Road, Bromley was charged with theft and remanded in custody to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court today (June7).
Holly Hudson, 32, of St Marychurch Street, Rotherhithe was also charged with theft. She was bailed to appear at Maidstone Magistrates’ Court on July 5.
