Maidstone: Two men charged with trying to get drugs into prison

Two men have been charged with trying to throw drugs over the walls of Maidstone Prison.
Simeon Theodule and Bernard Omalafe were arrested on Thursday, June 15, after officers reported suspicious behaviour in County Road, and seized a number of packages outside the prison.
The two men have now been charged with offences, and will appear before Maidstone Magistrates' Court on Friday, October 20.
Omolafe, 31, of Cherbury Close in Thamesmead, is charged with conspiracy to bring, throw, or otherwise convey cannabis and spice into a prison between Sunday, June 11 and Friday, June 16.
He is also charged with the same offence in relation to mobile phones, chargers and headphones.
Theodule, 26, of Lillechurch Road in Dagenham, was also charged with the same two offences as Omolafe, as well as two further charges of supplying cannabis between Monday, May 1 and Friday, June 16, and of conveying a phone into the County Road prison between Sunday, April 23 and Thursday, April 27.
