Firefighters called to Loose Road in Maidstone after multi-vehicle crash

People were being urged to avoid part of a town following a crash involving several vehicles.
Police and two fire engines were called to Loose Road in Maidstone at around 1.40pm today.
Two cars collided near the junction with Copper Tree Court.
A number of other parked vehicles were also damaged in the incident.
The fire service said: “Crews used equipment to drag one vehicle forward, allowing the door to be opened so the person could get out safely.
“Both individuals involved were passed into the care of SECAmb paramedics.”
No life-threatening injuries have been reported.
