Warning over sneaky wallet thieves

POLICE are warning shop owners in Maidstone to be wary of thieves who sneak through open rear doors and fire exits to steal the wallets and handbags of staff members.
A spate of thefts has occurred in the Chequers Shopping Centre, Market Buildings and Earl Street.
The police are urging shop owners to keep their rear doors locked and store property inside cupboards or lockers.
