Fresh road closures are adding to problems for motorists, but there is good news on the horizon.
South East Water has closed Chartway Street in East Sutton near Maidstone this week for water main repairs.
The closure is near the junction with Morry Lane, and should be lifted by 5pm tomorrow.
Nearby Duck Pond Lane is already closed for water works and is expected to remain so until January next year.
There are also works in Gravelly Bottom Lane, where the road remains open, but with a reduced carriageway near its junction with Lenham Road. There is a full closure – for today only – near its junction with Pratt Road.
The water main replacement works which have closed Upper Road in Leeds village, which were set to have lasted until January, have been completed early and the road is now expected to reopen.
