Number of coronavirus cases in Kent up week-on-week

More cases of coronavirus were recorded in Kent last week than in the previous seven days, new figures show.
In the week to June 5 there were 209 new cases of Covid-19 - a 7.2% increase on the 195 reported in the period to May 29.
It was the second week-on-week rise in the past month.
The figure for new cases to May 22 was 358, up on the 341 for the week to May 15.
Numbers peaked on April 17, when 997 new cases of Covid-19 were recorded in Kent.
Weekly deaths from the virus to May 29 stood at 69, slightly higher than the original 66 deaths for the previous seven days – but the latter figure has now been revised upwards to 85.
The total number of deaths in Kent attributed to the coronavirus, up to May 29, now stands at 1,282, that includes 843 in the county's hospitals.
Nationally the latest Office for National Statistics (ONS) data reveals there have been more than 63,500 excess deaths in the UK since the outbreak began.
In Medway, the county's largest area and also the one with the most deaths, 173 have died as a result of contracting the virus. In Tunbridge Wells that figure, lowest among all local authority areas, stands at 55.
However there has been a noticeable increase in the number of cases reported in Tunbridge Wells, with 243 new instances reported in the week to June 5, an increase of 16.8% on the 208 recorded in the week to May 29.
Ashford remains the area of the county with the highest number of reported cases, up to 842 in the week to June 5, and still has the second worst rate in England, with 655.2 cases per 100,000 residents.
Medway has seen 774 cases in total, while there have been 661 in Thanet.
