Michelin Star chef Graham Garrett used Twitter in hunt for attackers

A Michelin star chef took to Twitter to turn up the heat on two men believed to have attacked his teenage daughter.
Graham Garrett lost his cool when his 18-year-old daughter reported being punched in the back of the head during a night out.
The girl said the attackers also thumped and spat in her friend’s face, during the early hours of last Saturday in Maidstone High Street.
So Mr Garrett, the owner of The West House in Biddenden, launched his own investigation to try and help police find the right men to grill.
The father-of-two identified two suspects from an online photo gallery taken at the Source Bar in Rose Yard, where his daughter and her friend had spent the evening.
The chef, whose 15th Century weaver’s cottage eatery was a finalist on Gordon Ramsay’s Best British Restaurant series, posted the image on Twitter and asked his 1,454 followers if they could retweet and help identify the pair.

In less than 24 hours, the posting had been shared more than 1,400 times and appeared on Facebook.
Then on Tuesday morning, Mr Garrett updated, saying he now believed he knew the duo’s names and had passed them to police.
He assured people both girls were fine.
Despite the quick success of his hunt, Mr Garrett removed the tweet after being warned by police it could jeopardise any legal proceedings.
A spokesman for Kent Police confirmed officers were investigating an alleged common assault, that happened around 2.45am.
No arrests have yet been made.
