10:00, 15 October 2015
A mother has taken to Facebook to warn people after three men in a white van reportedly approached her son outside her Maidstone home.
The incident, which is said to have occurred at around 4.50pm on Tuesday, October 13, saw the men patrol Bell Road, Park Wood, trying to lure a seven year old boy and his friend round a corner and out of sight.
The van is described as a damaged white flat bed van with seats in the front and the back of the cab.
It comes after a number of similar incidents, including one this week in which a pupil of Skinners Academy, Tunbridge Wells, was approached - resulting in the school issuing a warning.
An investigation was launched after two men tried to entice a Tonbridge schoolboy into their van.
Wrotham school also issued a warning after a man reportedly approached a student in Borough Green last week.
A police spokesman said : "We were called at 5.07pm on Tuesday, October 13, to a report of a van driver acting suspiciously in Bell Road, Maidstone.
"Officers attended but were unable to locate the vehicle. No offences were alleged."
