Will millionaire's horse mix it at the Derby?

A little piece of Maidstone will be mixing it with the best at the Epsom Derby tomorrow.
Rank outsider Maidstone Mixture is owned by Boughton Monchelsea-based property tycoon Fergus Wilson.
Jump jockey Michael O’Connell, who has never won on the flat, will ride the three-year-old French horse – a 1,000-1 shot.
But the Paul Murphy-trained horse hasn’t exactly been given a resounding nod of approval by the experts.
Horse and Hound magazine said: “A fascinating entry even by the standards of his eccentric owner who regularly overfaces his horses in contests they cannot possibly win. On form he has no chance.”
Several horses owned by millionaire Mr Wilson, who with his wife Judith co-owns hundreds of properties in Maidstone and Ashford, have recently run in some of the big races at the Cheltenham Festival.
