A devastated mum has paid tribute to her 'mad, crazy and stunningly beautiful' daughter who died more than a week after a car crash.
Nicole Parnell, 22, suffered serious head injuries when her blue Peugeot 307 crashed at the junction with Lughorse Lane and Hunton Hill on Friday, December 19.
She was thought to have been on her way home from work.
Her mum Sharon, 49, said: "She was mad, crazy and stunningly beautiful. She was loved by everyone and always the life and soul of the party.
"She loved her care work and to socialise.
"We are absolutely devastated by her loss.
Nicole who lived in the local area, was taken to King's College Hospital in London, where she was pronounced dead in the early hours of yesterday after the difficult decision was made to turn off her life support machine.
Mrs Parnell said: "On Christmas Eve we realised there was not much hope left as her injuries were so bad and we said our goodbyes to her on Monday night.
"We have donated her organs so hopefully a bit of her will live on. It is what she would have wanted and we just hope it stops other families going through the heartache we are going through."
Her father Paul, 50, added: "We would like to say a massive thank you to all her amazing friends that stayed with her throughout and supported us since the accident."
She had been working as a carer and attended Hunton Primary School and Cornwallis Academy.
She leaves her mum, dad Paul and three brothers, Jack, 14, Tom 17 and 24-year-old Jamie.
Four floral tributes, two cards and lights have been placed at the crash scene.
They are accompanied by a Nets baseball cap with a note saying "Love you girl. You will always be missed."
Online tributes are also growing for the popular youngster.
Kaycie-Jade Foster said on Twitter: "Thoughts are with the Parnell family at this sad time.
"RIP brave Nicole. Heaven gained another beautiful angel too soon."
Becky Dixon also told of her sadness: "Such terrible news.... Thoughts are with the Parnell family."
Police are continuing to appeal for anyone who witnessed the fatal collision, which happened just before 9.50pm, to get in touch by calling 101.
Investigating officer PC Graham Holdstock, from the serious collision investigation unit, said: “The blue coloured Peugeot 307 appears to have been the only vehicle involved but we would like to hear from anyone who saw the incident, or the vehicle prior to the collision occurring, to make contact with us.”
