Woman, 37, from Maidstone killed after being hit by a train at Crismill Lane in Bearsted

The victim of a train tragedy in Bearsted has been identified as a 37-year-old local woman.
The fatality happened at 11.42am yesterday, on the high-speed line by the Crismill Lane railway bridge in Bearsted.
Emergency services were called to the scene but could not revive the woman.
An investigation has begun into how the woman came to be on the tracks, but British Transport Police say that the death is not being treated as suspicious.
A spokesman said: "Medics from South East Coast Ambulance Service also attended the incident, but the woman who is believed to be 37 and from the Maidstone area, was pronounced dead at the scene.
“A file will be prepared for the Coroner.”
Southeastern's high-speed services between Ashford and Ebbsfleet International were disrupted until 4.30pm.
In total 17 Eurostar trains were also cancelled.
