A woman has been cut free from her car after she crashed on the M20.
The driver left the London-bound carriageway near Lenham and hit a wooded patch on the embankment.
Firefighters were called to the scene, between J9 for Ashford and J8 for Leeds Castle, Maidstone, just before 8am.
They used hydraulic equipment to remove the roof and rescue the trapped motorist who was complaining of head, leg and spine injuries.
Crews administered first aid until paramedics arrived and took the woman to hospital.
One lane was closed while emergency services made the area safe. They left at around 9.30am.
No other vehicles were involved.
