Woman hurt as car overturns

RUSH hour traffic leaving Maidstone town centre came to a grinding halt last night after a collision between a car and a lorry at the junction of Barton Road with Loose Road.
A Renault Laguna overturned in the accident and the woman driver had to be cut free from the wreckage by fire and rescue personnel. She suffered only minor injuries.
The accident happened at about 5.35pm and the road was not completely clear until 7.50pm.
