Woman hurt in collision with bus

A WOMAN escaped serious injury today when she was involved in a collision with a bus in Maidstone town centre.
The incident happened shortly after 1pm at a bus stop in Mill Street. The woman was seen lying face-down in the road in front of the bus by an eyewitness.
An ambulance arrived on the scene within five minutes and took the woman to Maidstone Hospital.
A spokeswoman for Maidstone and Malling police said the woman had suffered “minor injuries” and that the incident was not under investigation.
