Police hunt man after woman sexually assaulted in Waterlow Road, Maidstone

Police are looking for a man after reports a woman was sexually assaulted in a car park at the weekend.

The attack happened just after midnight on Saturday in Waterlow Road, Maidstone, near flats at Walsingham House, as the victim was walking home from the town centre.

Officers have described the suspected as a white man, in his 20s, about 5ft 8in, slim with a dark goatee beard and short cropped hair.

He was wearing a dark top and shorts.

Police are carrying out a number of inquiries, including forensic and CCTV checks and speaking to residents.

Detective Constable Paul Wells said: "The suspect was first seen approaching the victim in Waterlow Road, from an area containing garages and a large skip bag for waste.

"After the assault he then headed in the direction of Wheeler Street.

"He has a fairly distinctive description and we are urging anyone who may have seen him or who has any other information to call us."
