Three women arrested in Lower Stone Street, Maidstone, after another woman was racially abused

Three women were arrested in the town centre after allegedly shouting racist abuse at a fourth woman and assaulting police officers.
Police were called to Lower Stone Street, Maidstone, outside the newly refurbished Asian and African Bazaar at around 10.15am on Monday.
Three police cars were at the scene and one woman was wrestled to the ground and arrested along with another two after reports a woman had been racially abused.
A police spokesman added: "It is further alleged that that officers were assaulted during the arrests."
The trio have been bailed until Thursday, May 4, pending further investigation.
