Fire at Otteridge Road, Bearsted, caused by wood burner

Firefighters were called to a Bearsted home this afternoon, where they gave one person first aid.
The fire started after a pile of logs were set alight by embers from a wood burner.
Two fire engines attended the house at Otteridge Road, extinguishing the flames and using a high pressured fan to clear the property of smoke.
One person was given first aid at the scene for smoke inhalation and taken to hospital as a precaution.
