Roadworks have finished earlier than planned.
The A274 Sutton Road in Maidstone has re-opened today and traffic is flowing freely.
The road had been closed since February 5 and had been expected to remain shut until March 17
However, this morning Kent County Council confirmed the roadwroks had been completed ahead of schedule.
The road is the key route between Maidstone and Headcorn and during the closure residents from thousands of homes on the new estates at Langley were having to make lengthy detours to get to town.
