CCTV released by Kent Police after attempted robbery reported at shop in Boxley Road, Maidstone

A would-be thief reportedly tried to steal cash from a shop, telling staff he was armed.
Officers are investigating an attempted robbery at a store in Boxley Road, Maidstone.
At around 5pm on Wednesday, November 23 a man disguised with a scarf entered the shop demanding cash while suggesting to the store clerk he had a weapon.
Staff declined and he soon left empty-handed.
Police are appealing to anyone who who may have information to come forward and contact them on 01622 604100, quoting crime reference 46/226531/22.

DC Celia King, of the Chief Constable’s Crime Squad, said: "We have been making inquiries into this incident and are now able to issue a CCTV image of a person who may be able to assist with our investigation.
"While they have their face hidden by a scarf, detectives hope somebody recognises him from his clothing and calls our appeal line."
