50-1 winner for Best

MAIDSTONE trainer John Best caused a huge upset when his horse Mine Behind won the 7.05 at Newbury at 50-1.
The horse, ridden by Richard Lake, came in three quarters of a length ahead of the 11-2 shot Montana and a length and a quarter ahead of the 2-1 favourite Silver Chime.
Best said that a misleading result in the horse’s previous race had worked in their favour. He said: "The run at Lingfield worked out well. He was knocked at the start and missed out, but the run wasn’t as bad as everyone thought.
"We were expecting he would do better although we weren’t expecting him to actually win it.”
