Why Terry Harris is the perfect No.2 for Maidstone United manager Hakan Hayrettin

Terry Harris is proving the perfect right-hand man for Maidstone manager Hakan Hayrettin.
Hayrettin made Harris his No.1 target after being confirmed as John Still’s successor at the Gallagher Stadium.
There’s nobody the Stones boss would rather have alongside him as assistant manager.
Harris’ move to Maidstone saw him join forces with Hayrettin for the third time after spells together at Luton and Dagenham.
“He was the person I wanted,” said Hayrettin, who completed his management team by adding Jim Stannard as goalkeeper coach.
“I’ve worked with him before and I trust him implicitly.
“He’s a great No.2 for any manager and I get on really well with him.
“We go over things every day, what we’re going to do and how we’re going to do it, and we get down to work.
“He’s very meticulous in what he does, like me, so we try and leave no stone unturned. Every session, we plan ahead.
“He’s got great experience, he’s had success in the Conference and the Football League.
“He’s a wily old fox and he still has that desire and determination to be a winner, which is fantastic.
“We have our disagreements, of course we do, but we agree to disagree. We only want what’s best for the team.”
Tomorrow night's rearranged game at Dulwich is off due to Covid in the hosts' squad, with Maidstone due back in league action for the first time since December 1 at Hungerford this Saturday.
