During the Covid-19 lockdown, golf was one of the first sports people were allowed to play.
Due to it being outside in the fresh air, and with social distancing easy to achieve on the course, many people were keen to get back.
Bearsted resident Ben Sherreard has taken the opportunity to launch a new business in the middle of the pandemic called Gimmie Golf.
The service provides a monthly delivery of golf balls, tees and other equipment players need every time they play.
Delivery services such as Amazon and supermarket chains have seen huge increases in demand for products.
And Gimmie Golf provides the same convenience for golfers needing balls, tees, gloves and more, every month.
Sherreard said: “I’ve always played golf and I’d been knocking the idea around in my head for a while. Monthly subscription services are a growing business in the UK.
“There are lots of things you need to play golf, and if like me you tend to lose a lot of golf balls when you play, I think it could be great to rely on delivery every month to keep you topped up!
“It’s been fun over the last few months testing out some amazing products from companies I’d not heard of before.
"I’ve focused on finding smaller companies that offer great equipment as I think it’s important during the pandemic to try and support smaller businesses as much as possible.”
The business launched for subscribers at the beginning of September with the first monthly deliveries expected at the end of the month. To find out more, visit www.gimmiegolf.co.uk .
